Horses in the Limelight

Southern Weekly 29 May 2014

THE landmark Camden mansion Camelot may have stolen the limelight of the hit TV drama A Place to Call Home but now some of our local showbiz horses will share the spotlight.

Horses from the Sydney Trail Riding Centre at Denham Court star in scenes featuring leading characters George Bligh (Brett Climo) and Sarah Adams (Marta Dusseldorp, both pictured right, and with TV presenter Rose Kelly, bottom) at the stunning Kirkham estate, which serves as the Bligh family property Ash Park in the series which is also being screened in New Zealand and Denmark.

Sydney Trail Riding Centre owner Grahame Ware manages the horses on set.

He has helped to supervise horses in major Hollywood movies including The Great Gatsby, Lord of the Rings and Moulin Rouge and his horses have also starred in McLeod’s Daughters, The Saddle Club, Wild Boys and many commercials.

Actor Brett Climo visited the Sydney Trail Riding Centre recently to film a segment for Sydney Weekender which will air on May 31.
